Two Daisy Hill players have been recognised for reaching the milestone of 100 appearances for the club.
Defender Dean Singleton and midfielder Sam Howell were presented with commemorative plaques in recognition of their service to the club, before the game against Ashton Town on the final Saturday of the league season.
A native of Portadown in Northern Ireland, Dean’s first appearance for Daisy Hill was in the 2018-19 season, and has become an established and a regular member of the squad, as well as being Vice-Captain.
Sam is now in his third spell at Daisy Hill, having first made his debut in March 2011 as a teenager. He has played at five other clubs in the North West Counties League, and has been a regular in the side since his latest return to the club in November.
Daisy manager Lee Hill said: “As we have a relatively young squad, both Dean and Sam bring some much-needed experience into the dressing room.
“Dean has been an important squad member for a number of years now. He’s one of the senior players I lean on heavily in the dressing room and he’s someone I can rely on, both on and off the pitch.
“In every game I know what I will get from him. He’s a full-blooded player who gives 100% effort, and you can never question his commitment.
