A huge convoy of 300 bikers from Rivington Barn Bikers roared through Westhoughton town centre this afternoon, turning heads and drawing smiles from passers-by as part of the annual Rivington Barn Easter Egg Ride.

Riders of all ages, including some on 125cc learner bikes, made their way along Market Street in a show of community spirit and generosity. The ride began at Rivington Top Barn at midday and ended at The Hulton Arms in Over Hulton.

The event is organised in support of Blessings in Disguise, a charity that enriches the lives of disadvantaged young people and their carers. The bikers and supporters donated Easter eggs for children and families across the region. Fancy dress was optional, and everyone was welcome to join the fun.

Adam Griffiths, landlord at The Hulton Arms, once again threw his support behind the ride, offering free refreshments to all riders as they arrived at the final stop. Adam said: “We collect eggs from customers at the pub in the lead up to Easter and they are distributed by the charity. We put a free potato hash on for all the bikers at the end of their journey.”

The Easter tradition continues to grow each year, combining charity, community, and the unmistakable roar of engines.
