A yellow van has been seized by police in Westhoughton today after officers stopped the vehicle following intelligence received from the community.
On Thursday, the Westhoughton Neighbourhood Policing Team pulled the vehicle over on Wearish Lane, where checks revealed that it had no insurance.
The male driver was reported for the offence, and the van was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

A police spokesperson said: "Today the Westhoughton Neighbourhood Policing Team have had reason to speak to the driver of this yellow van thanks to intelligence received from the community."
"The vehicle was stopped on Wearish Lane, Westhoughton. Checks revealed the van had no insurance. The male was reported for this offence and his vehicle seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988."
